Kanishya is a Meisner-trained, first-generation Colombian-American actress based in Los Angeles. She grew up on the East Coast and started acting when she was just three years old—it’s been part of her identity for as long as she can remember. Over the years, she has trained at some of the top acting studios and built a foundation rooted in emotional truth, presence, and instinct.

She is drawn to characters with depth—roles that explore power dynamics, inner conflict, or darker emotional territory. She loves finding the humanity in complex women: the ones who are hurting, calculating, protective, manipulative, tender—or all of those things at once.

As a Latina artist, she is passionate about telling stories that reflect both cultural specificity and emotional universality. Whether she is in front of a camera or on stage, her goal is always to create work that’s honest, raw, and deeply felt.
