Cue Alicia Keys – “Girl on Fire”
What an array of projects I get to dive into this summer! First, an interactive horror performance (Midnight Prison), and now I’ve totally switched gears with Something’s Sketchy in NOHO, a night of original sketch comedy.
I’m so excited to star in two of the sketches, and honestly? I have no idea what’s going on... but I’m having a blast. Loving the contrast and the chance to stretch in all directions this season. Feeling really lucky!
And that's showbiz baby!
Who doesn't love local community theater?
This performance was definitely different! I have never done something like this before, but I think that's the fun of this life, it' just about having fun. I’m really grateful to have been part of something so unique — and just weird enough to be memorable.
Now a few words from our viewers... I mean... a film producer who came to opening night of the show:
“What makes this setup enticing is the collision of intimacy and mystery. Four people at a time are led through a series of rooms and encounters that feel personal, but because it all happens in near darkness, the audience gets to remain anonymous and free to feel, observe, and react without the pressure of being seen.
The runtime being only about 20 minutes makes it hit fast and unexpectedly. It’s like stepping into a dream where you're not sure if you’re meant to watch or participate. That tension creates real engagement and is something that wouldn’t be possible with more than four people at a time.
It’s a fun and unique experience that I think you’d enjoy or at least not regret experiencing.”

Holy SMOKES. Words cannot describe how absolutely blessed and honored I feel to have spent the morning in conversation with Niel Labute. I learned so much from this and him.
